Piece at eBay headquarters using eBay purchase and sale data

Jer Thorpe and Mark Hansen created a piece that pulls random words from text of classic novels and visualizes how eBay users interact with that word. The example given is “refrigerator” – where in the US are most people buying refrigerators on eBay and how much are they paying? The piece was housed in the eBay headquarters lobby and automatically refreshed after a given time.
