NY TImes, Sandy Deaths Visualization
A cool, simple visualization similar to what I’m looking at!
This map shows the links between all the different IP addresses, and shows that the Internet has a structure similar to that of neural networks.
I found some really good data about wind patterns and rescue flights, as well as some in depth description about the people who died in Sandy and how it happened. I think I would like to do some type of timeline effect that shows the interaction between the intensity and trajectory of the storm and the race to try and save lives, and when those efforts failed.
A blog post on how one informs the other.
I was looking up sleep statistics, and posted this to my Facebook wall a week or so ago. Thought it might make sense to put here!
